Stepp for Gastonia

I’m Jennifer Mincey Stepp, and I’m running for reelection to the Gastonia City Council
because I care deeply about our city and its future.

As a lifelong resident of Gastonia, I was raised in a home that valued service. I watched
my father lead with integrity as a City Councilman, and that same commitment to
community has guided me throughout my life as a teacher, a community servant, and
now, as your Councilwoman.

Service isn’t just about showing up — it’s about listening, leading with compassion, and
making practical, thoughtful decisions that improve lives. I bring experience you can
trust and a strong belief that commonsense leadership matters.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done together supporting local businesses, investing in
smart growth, and making Gastonia a more vibrant, inclusive place to live. I remain
deeply committed to preserving the values that built our city, while embracing
opportunities that will move us forward.

My mission is simple: to ensure Gastonia is a city where every resident feels heard,
safe, and empowered. I believe in collaboration, in lifting up every neighborhood, and in
building a future that works for all of us.
